      <title>Hot weather to affect some Transport for Wales services today</title>

      <content type="html">&lt;p&gt;The &lt;a href=&#34;https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/&#34; title=&#34;&#34;&gt;Met Office&lt;/a&gt; are advising that temperatures today are expected to be above average for the time of year. Highs are forecast to exceed 30°C in London, and similar high temperatures are likely across central and southern England, and Wales. This hot weather is expected to continue well into the week.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The forecast weather may cause trains to be disrupted. &lt;a href=&#34;https://www.networkrail.co.uk/campaigns/hot-weather-and-the-railway/&#34; title=&#34;&#34;&gt;Heat&lt;/a&gt; can cause overhead lines to expand and sag, line-side fires and also rails to buckle.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Check services running in the area using the &lt;a href=&#34;https://livemap.tfw.wales/#/aw_en/mapview&#34; title=&#34;&#34;&gt;Transport for Wales live map&lt;/a&gt;. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Affected routes: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;From approximately 07:00 services between Llandudno and Blaenau Ffestiniog will be cancelled, in both directions until the end of the day&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Alternative travel options:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;To assist you with your journey, you can use the following local bus services to help you complete your journey, at no extra cost:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Route 19X provided by Llew Jones between Llandudno Junction and Betws-Y-Coed via North Llanwrst&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Transport for Wales have organised buses to run between Llandudno and Blaenau Ffestionog in both directions. These will be provided, at no extra cost by Dylwyn&#39;s Coaches and Llew Jones at the following times:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;From Blaenau Festiniog at approximately 08:20, 11:18, 14:22, 17:17, 20:12&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; From Llandudno at approximately 07:14, 10:16, 13:19, 16:16, 19:08&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;These arrangements are in place on services until 22:00.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Road Transport will take longer than rail services.
