A speed restriction has been imposed over defective track between Wickford and Southminster.
As a result, an emergency timetable has been put in place for services running between these stations.
With trains having to run at a reduced speed, some services may be subject to delays of up to 20 minutes.
This is expected until the end of the day Sunday 13 September.

Trains between Wickford and Southminster in both directions are running at a 30mph due to a speed restriction, after a safety inspection of the track found faults.
As a result of the extensive nature of the repair work required, an emergency timetable has been put in place as follows:
