Severe weather to affect ScotRail services today

Severe weather will affect many ScotRail routes today, Sunday 11 January.
Speed restrictions have been imposed on numerous routes to allow trains to travel safely through the areas impacted by the poor weather. As a result of this, trains may be delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Customer advice:
The following service delays / alterations will take place on the below routes are expected for today:
- From 12:00 - Aberdeen to Edinburgh services will be delayed by up to 30 minutes
- From 12:00 - Aberdeen to Glasgow Queen Street services will be delayed by up to 30 minutes
- From 12:00 - Glasgow Central and Largs services will be delayed by up to 10 minutes
- From 18:00 - Aberdeen to Inverness services will be delayed by up to 30 minutes
- From 18:00 - Glasgow Central and Ayr services will be delayed by up to 10 minutes
- Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh services will be delayed by up to 30 minutes
- Inverness to Wick services will be delayed by up to 30 minutes
- Inverness to Tain services will be delayed by up to 20 minutes
- Inverness to Edinburgh services will be delayed by up to 30 minutes
- Inverness to Aberdeen services will be delayed by up to 30 minutes
- Inverness to Glasgow Queen Street services will be delayed by up to 20 minutes
- Carlisle to Dumfries services will be delayed by up to 20 minutes
- Glasgow Queen Street to Oban services will be delayed by up to 30 minutes
- Glasgow Queen Street to Fort William / Mallaig services will be delayed by up to 30 minutes
- Ayr to Stranraer services will be delayed by up to 20 minutes
You can use your ticket, at no additional cost, on ScotRail services via any alternative route to your destination.
If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.

Compensation:
You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.
